On Saturday 16th May 2026, Petts Wood Lodge No. 5435 held its 363rd Regular Meeting at Oakley House, enjoying an evening marked by excellent ritual, warm fraternal support and strong inter-Lodge fellowship.
The principal business of the evening was the Passing of Brother Huseyin Zorba of St. Hilarion Lodge No. 9851. Having been Initiated on 7th October 2025, Brother Zorba took his next important step in Freemasonry in a ceremony conducted with dignity and care by the Worshipful Master, W. Bro. Paul Goff.
It was a particular privilege for Petts Wood Lodge to carry out this ceremony on behalf of St. Hilarion Lodge, and the occasion was made even more special by the attendance of several members of Brother Zorba’s Mother Lodge, whose support added greatly to the warmth and spirit of the evening.
The Worshipful Master conducted the ceremony in exemplary fashion and also delivered the Second Degree Tracing Board, ably assisted throughout by his Officers, whose teamwork and high standard of ritual reflected great credit upon the Lodge.
The meeting concluded in the usual happy and harmonious manner at our Festive Board, with members and visitors alike enjoying excellent company and celebrating another memorable evening in the life of Petts Wood Lodge.
