Saturday evening (8th November) brought a truly superb demonstration of commitment and craftsmanship at Petts Wood Lodge. The evening centred on the Raising of Brother Ashley Barnard, a ceremony that proved both moving and memorable for all in attendance.

The Lodge Master, Brother Brian Burbidge, conducted the entire ceremony in an exemplary and deeply meaningful manner. His dedication ensured that every detail of the Third Degree was conveyed with clarity and sincerity, setting a high standard for our ritual work.

Brother Burbidge was ably supported by Brother Paul Christopher, IPM, who delivered the Traditional History with equal distinction. His presentation was superbly explained and beautifully articulated, ensuring that the profound moral and philosophical teachings of the Third Degree were fully absorbed by every Brother present.
It is safe to say that no one could have failed to grasp the significance and teachings of this pivotal ceremony. The atmosphere was one of quiet contemplation and shared understanding, which we know Brother Ashley Barnard greatly appreciated as he received his final advancement in Craft Masonry.
Following such a meaningful ceremony, the Brethren retired to a lovely Festive Board. The sense of fellowship was palpable, marked by much laughter and genuine fun, serving as the perfect complement to the serious nature of the work conducted in the Lodge room. It was an evening that truly underscored the importance of both our solemn duties and the warm bonds of brotherhood.
We extend our warmest congratulations once again to Brother Ashley Barnard on his Raising.
